Eighth Grade

When I think of VAS, I am reminded of how wonderful my days as a student are and how no other institution could compare.  Instead of moving from school to school over a course of thirteen years (from Kindergarten to Senior year), students can attend this school for their entire young academic life.  Our school has an atmosphere like no other.  Students appreciate their teachers, and teachers will do anything to help their students learn to the best of their abilities and beyond.  Not only are the teachers caring, but they are also strict.  Students will get academically challenged when attending VAS.

A very different, but cool thing is that this school has a farm.  The farm contains animals ranging from mini ponies to peacocks to turkeys and turtles.  Very recently, the rabbits had little bunnies, and during your free time (Nutrition 10:17 AM-10:32 AM ;Lunch 12:32 PM-1:07 PM), you are free to go play with them.  The farm adds to the uniqueness of VAS.

People at this school: student, teacher, or parent alike are very similar to a family.  Because of the small population of Valley Alternative, everyone knows each other by a first name basis. However, this relationship between adults and children doesn’t disrupt the complete respect that students have for their teachers and administrators. Above all, when you attend this school, you build a foundation for yourself that you’ll carry with you for your entire life.
